If the turbocharger type is know, the identification of spare parts is an easy job. Difficulties come up usually when the type is not known.
If original you may find a metal plate as a data shield on either side of the compressor housing or near the oil connection in the middle part of the turbocharger. Some manufacturer (e.g. MHI) the information is engraved on the housing itself. You may find numbers on the castings of the housing, these are usually not the right figures. If no shield at all (lost) the identification becomes a tough job. In that case the manufacturere can help with some information. Beside these we can offer you the knowlegde and experience of our colleagues in identification as well.
